there’s a gravity falls fanfiction that is perfect for summerween actually! it’s called “anyway I’ve been there” and it’s definitely worth the read! It’s a longer fanfiction so it does feel like you’re reading a book, it’s cozy and fun and has angst/comfort and it feels like seeing all the gravity falls characters again!
What?! Why didn’t I know of this! Thank you so much for letting us know! I am definitely going to try and find this because it sounds like something up my alley! ☺️👻🫶🏼
i learned about Summerween for the very first time this year and its been so fun!👻 i love the idea of Summerween being a few weeks in mid-summer and not just one day, because one day is definitely not enough!! your book recs are so good, the eerie categories are perfect for the spooky vibes! i've started reading Dead Girls Walking for the SKS Book Club this week and im loving the horror camp setting. im a huge horror fan but idk if id ever volunteer for a summer camp like that, you're straight up asking for something bad to happen lol. 🏕☠ i loved your energy and vibe in this video! i could tell this is something you were really excited to talk about, i love seeing that joy when people talk about something they love! and that intro!? so spooky! also your hair looks amazing, i love the darker color on you 🫶🏼✨
Glad to hear you enjoyed the video Gia! Summerween is such a cool concept! I remember watching that episode of Gravity Falls some years ago and I was completely mesmerized by the idea lol Yeah idk if I would ever volunteer for a summer camp because as much as I love camping, camping can indeed be very scary! lol middle of the woods, no help nearby, yeah… no thank you! lol 😅 Im glad that my excitement for the spooky love I have translates well on this video lol Spooky season and spooky stuff in general is something that I am just so passionate about! And thank you for the hair compliment. At first I didn’t like it lol but it’s grown on me now ☺️🫶🏼
Yesss spooky ghoul this video was so fun!! I am summerween-ing all summer long!! I’m so excited to read our July book club pick. And I love the dark hair it’s the perfect vibe 🖤
Summerween is the best concept ever! Ive been enjoying feeling all the spooky vibes during the summer heat. Its the only way ive been getting through the summer lol 😂
I've been wanting to get into more spooky reading! I used to read so many horror books as a teenager but havent really gotten back into them despite LOVING all things spooky 😅
Same! I was a big Goosebumps and Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark, fan! Recently I’ve been finding my way to more spooky books and I’ve been enjoying it so much ☕️📖👻🕸️
I read The Only Good Indians by Stephen Graham Jones a couple of years ago. I don't read a lot of horror, so I can't really say I enjoyed it, per se, but I do still think about that book. It was pretty haunting. My husband owns The Ocean at the End of the Lane and it's one I need to read. If anyone is looking for some good middle grade spooky books, the four Small Spaces books by Katherine Arden are so good. Each book takes place in a small town in Vermont during a different season.
Thank you for the middle grade suggestions! I’m on a horror mood right now which is why all the Adult horror book suggestions! lol maybe I should make a separate video with YA, Middle grade spooky book recs because I have so many recs for that category also! 😅
I am currently reading Horror Movie by Paul Tremblay. I’m about half way through, the layout is different, but I’m enjoying it! It’s keeping wanting to know more and what’s going to happen next!
I’d like to recommend to you ‘The Séance That Never Dies’ by M.Q. Nguyen for all your horror fans out there for Summerween. ‘The Séance That Never Dies’ is a book about death, evil spirits, and mental health. It’s a great read if you’re looking for something fast and easy. On another reading note, if you own an e-reader like me, then you’re gonna love Immersive Translate. It’s basically a free browser extension that supports over 100+ languages. You can use it to translate all your ebooks into any language. Are you a manga lover? There’s also a cool feature, where you can get accurate translations to the manga you’re currently reading, which is really great.
Thank you so much the recommendation! I’ve added it to my list, will definitely have to check it out. ☺️ Also, thank you so much for the e-reader translate! I think you just opened up my book world a lot more! Getting to read books in other languages through a translator website would be awesome! Checking that out now! ☺️
@@itskimberlyrodriguez If you like that, I'd also like to recommend to you her latest release, which is called 'My Littlest Russian Doll.' It follows Winnie, a jewelry designer, who is in a toxic relationship with Jasper, and how she gets out of it. If you're looking for something light and easy, then this is it!
